We had a fun Halloween this year. Samantha dressed up as an angel, Grant was a bag of Jelly Beans, Makayla was Elphaba, or the wicked with from The Wizard of Oz, and Hunter was Superman. Margie came over with her girls for the second year in a row. We had a festive dinner in a pumpkin (Lance said next year we should just get a plastic pumpkin to serve it in and skip the real one). Then it took forever getting everyone ready to g
o trick-or-treating.
Samantha has now reached the age where it takes hours for who to fix her hair and apply make-up (literaly), it took her an hour and a half to get ready! Hunter was easy with Superman p.j.'s and a little gel in the hair. Of course he didn't like the way we combed his hair so he messed it up and we had to do it all over again.

Grant's costume took a bit of time. We were very glad to have an air compressor to blow up the balloons with, it made the task much easier. It took a while to greenify Makayla for her costume. After spending quite a bit of time the previous week sewing her costume it was fun to see her all dressed and looking so 'Wicked'. Sometimes when you attempt to make a co
stume it doesn't turn out quite the way you pictured it. This time it turned out way better. I don't think I will be making the kids costumes every year but occasionally it is worth the time. Makayla's excited little giggle and shrug of the shoulders was more than worth it!!!
Margie's little girls dressed up this year as cheerleaders. They wore the same costumes that Makayla and Sam wore four years ago! I can't believe how fast they have grown. It seems like just the other day.
